These three deputies "resigned" by the Constitutional Council

The Constitutional Council has declared three MPs—two Macron supporters and one Ciott supporter—ineligible by reviewing their campaign accounts. Three legislative elections will soon be held in the constituencies won in 2024 by Jean Laussuc, Stéphane Vojette, and Brigitte Barèges.
They have been dismissed. The Constitutional Council has declared three MPs ineligible by rejecting their campaign accounts. These are two Macronist MPs – Jean Laussuc (Paris) and Stéphane Vojetta ( 5th constituency of French people living outside France) – and a UDR parliamentarian, Éric Ciotti's party, Brigitte Barèges (Tarn-et-Garonne).
This decision takes immediate effect: they are therefore "automatically resigned" from their mandates and ineligible for "a period of one year" , states the highest French court responsible for monitoring the regularity of elections. Partial elections will soon be organized to replace the three deposed.
- Jean Laussucq is accused of having paid "campaign expenses using his personal bank account" and of having allowed third parties to pay "directly a significant portion of the expenses incurred for his 2024 election campaign. " These expenses represent "21% of the amount of the account's expenses" and "10.2% of the authorized spending limit," or 7,030 euros.
- Concerning Stéphane Vojetta , who defeated Manuel Valls in 2022, he "irregularly" paid a "substantial part of the expenses incurred", in particular his "transport costs".
- As for the now former far-right MP Brigitte Barèges , she was declared ineligible for having invoiced the involvement in her campaign of two municipal collaborators from Montauban, of which she was mayor, for her campaign.
